August 12 – 16
1 to 4 p.m.
with Tara Tomaino

Do you have a POW!-erful interest in graphic novels and manga? In this camp, we study prominent Japanese manga and Western graphic novelists for inspiration to begin molding and drafting our own creations. Explore how to develop strong characters that are vital to driving the simplest of plots. Learn how camera angles, line work, and facial expression in character development help convey different meanings. Emphasis is on drafting techniques, storyboarding, and script writing. By the end of the week, you leave with a rough draft or outline of a graphic novel.
