Cupid is roaming the sky during Valentine’s Day, giving everyone love to use or to give.
Love is defined in many ways. I think love is a verb, not a noun.
That is, it needs to be practiced. Daily. Sometimes when you don’t feel like it.
Love is work. Love is emotion in action.
Love is community compassion—coexisting and caring for one another.
Love is embracing anyone in any shape or form. Love is acceptance.
Love is when a person gives you a compliment about your face and clothes.
Love is when you enjoy someone’s flaws. Love is true understanding.
Love is when you feel appreciated. Love is the freedom to be exactly who you are.
Love is the people who make us shine when we’re in the dark. Love is light in the dark.
Love is when they check up on you and try to cheer you up.
Love is caring for someone and being there for them.
Love is commitment to those close to you.
Love is the breath of fresh air when you feel overwhelmed.
Love is sneaking up on you to give you the biggest hug because you deserve it!
Love is a hug, a moment, a blessed feeling, remarkable, and undeniable.
Love is when we protect and care for one another. Love is a mother’s tender care.
Love is the people who support you. Love is when people take care of you.
Love is a person you enjoy hanging out with and you trust them with your life.
Love is a strong feeling you feel for someone else. Love is when you like someone
in a way that you can show how you feel about them and what they mean to you
or sometimes you can’t show or tell them, then small gestures are just as equal.
Love is a beautiful expression of trust between two individuals.
Love is falling over and over again through the growth and stages of life.
Love is marrying your best friend. My daughter’s upcoming wedding.
The advice I would give to my own children in looking for love (or choosing a potential life partner)
is to look for someone you would want to have a good conversation with for about 40-50 years.
If you’re still having stimulating conversation, then you’re onto a winner.
Love is when we stay up giggling over the telephone,
you waiting for my device to be charged, the hours spent on Google Meet,
the possibility of long distance, and us going against our religion to be with one another.
Love is spending time with family. Love is my AVID family.
Love is having fun with your friends. Love is laughing with my friends.
Love is doing stupid things together. Love is laughing with my friends until my ribs hurt.
Love is my friends. Love is you. Love is me. I love myself.
Love is the feelings you feel when you’re with friends and family. Love is spending time together.
Love is the greatest gift, to love and be loved in return.
Love is just like nostalgia, remembering your loved ones when you were just a kid.

Love is when someone is there for you and will never fail to make you laugh
and buy you Starbucks.

Sharing a double scoop of double dark chocolate gelato and offering your partner the last bite.
Love is sharing your food when you’re territorial over it with everyone else.

knowing good and well that they actually are.

and looking for the best in people, even when they are at their worst.

Love is a language best spoken by cats—in purr. Love is cats. Love is a fluffy cat!
Love is the silent understanding between animals and I.
I love my cats because they’re cute and fluffy. My kitties, Shoestrings and Babygirl.
If love was a dog, it would be a golden retriever
because of their warm smiles and the comfort they give to humans.
Love is the warm slobber of my dog’s kiss, my father’s soft gaze over dinner,
and a knowing glance with my best friend.
Love is like the feeling of warm laundry being dumped on you as a kid on a cold morning.
Love is what keeps you warm when you didn’t know you were freezing.

Love is when I get an A on my exam.
Love is dedication and work for the nation. Love is honor.
Love is interesting. Love is very interesting.
Love is emotional. Love is a strong feeling that gives you emotion.
Love is understanding, accepting, and kind, but also fierce, aggressive, and big.
Love is fighting, love is everything that can excite, love is blind and happiness.
Love twists unpredictably and morphs without permission.
Love is translucent and clear, an orb of glass burned and blown enough to shatter.
Love is hurtful. Love is sad. Love is a sinking ship.
Love is working together through the conflict.
Love is saying, “goodbye, my love, it’s okay to leave, I’ll be alright,”
when you know it’s anything but okay and you’ll be anything but alright.

Love is unrequited, at times; if you’re blessed, it’s unconditional. Love is unconditional.
Love is joyful, fun, loving. Love is fun. Love is happy. Love is happiness.
Love is the best feeling of life. Love is all you need. Love is never a waste of time.
Love is true feelings. Love is a burning in your chest and a fire in your soul.
Love is how the moon loves the sun—
they may be on different sides of earth, but once they meet, it’s magical.
Love is magical and it works in different ways.
Love is powerful, something beautiful, like a spark. Love is art.
Love is something more powerful than words.
Love knows when you need it and is always right there. Love is closer than you think.
Love is contagious. Love can be everywhere! Love is everywhere.
Love is all around. Love is in the atmosphere. Love is everything that exists.
Love is a beacon of hope. Love is the heartbeat of hope.
Love is something strong that can unite others and bring peace. Love is peace.
The “You Are Special Today” plate cracked into three pieces years ago.
We glued it back together into a haphazard peace sign. We still use it on birthdays.
Love is never giving up. Love is unity. Love is Presence + the Connection to all that is.
Love is what keeps me going. Love is why we live.
