CringeFest isn’t just the most hilarious night of the year—it’s a storytelling tradition.
What began with a group of us reading our middle school diaries in a small Red Bank café has grown into an annual live stage event, proving our hunger for spaces where we can be vulnerable, laugh at ourselves, and connect through shared experiences.
Since 2018, CringeFest has brought together writers, creatives, and the bravest storytellers from the Project Write Now community to share their most embarrassing moments—all for an incredible cause. All proceeds benefit Project Write Now’s community outreach programs, supporting partnerships with nearly 100 organizations and impacting 13,000+ youth and adults throughout Monmouth County and beyond.
In difficult times, comedy is more than entertainment—it’s relief, release, and a way to build understanding.
