Lizzie Finn

director, pwn screen academy
writing instructor

Biography

Lizzie grew up in a family where art, music, writing, and playing were always encouraged and celebrated. She has pretty much been writing stories since she learned how to read. As a screenwriter, she’s written more than a dozen screenplays and teleplays, including the “Communication Episode” of Discovery TV’s Emmy-winning series Greatest Inventions with Bill Nye. As a blogger, she was featured in The New York Times and The Star-Ledger for sharing her stories on modern motherhood. She’s written countless blog posts, essays, columns, and articles online and for publication (TV Squad, Literary Mama, The Imperfect Parent, Absolute Write, The Mighty, Medium, and Pregnancy Magazine). Lizzie has her BA in Communication from Rutgers College and Certificate in Film, Video and Broadcasting from New York University. She is a Certified Gateless Writing Teacher. Lizzie believes that learning, self-discovery, and healing are best served when we honor our truest, most joyful selves through creative self-expression, mindfulness, and play. Lizzie is on Medium at https://medium.com/@lizziefinn23.
