Marissa Elliott
Biography
Marissa Elliott is a passionate writer and educator with over 10 years experience as a college professor. During her MFA program, Marissa composed a memoir-based work of fiction and is currently co-authoring a soon-to-be-published memoir on Dr. Stephen Valle’s work with addiction, recovery, and the prison system. In her current role as the Director of Operations and Special Projects at Northern Essex Community College, writing and connecting with students continues to be a daily vocation. Marissa spends all her free time coaching youth softball players and hanging out with her 12-year-old daughter, (a recent published author and national writing award competition winner), her 10-year-old nonbinary child (who is determined to invent cancer-curing robots), and her two dogs, two cats, and bearded dragon.
