Michele Prestininzi, A PWN Instructor

Michele Prestininzi

Biography

Michele is an enthusiastic writer and educator with a specialization in children’s literature. She runs a critique group for middle grade writers and mentors students in the creative writing process. She’s published in Hopscotch for Girls Magazine and won the Candlewick Press Scholarship Award for Picture Books. Michele fell in love with children’s literature when her kids were young and hasn’t stopped reading and writing since. She is currently writing picture books and middle grade stories full of magic and mischievous characters. The transformative power of stories has always inspired her, and she’s thrilled to share her passion for storytelling with others at PWN. Michele has her MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts, and her MA in Education from Hofstra University. She lives in Shrewsbury with her husband and three children.
