5th & 6th graders
A big question writers often ask is, “What can I do to make my writing better?” During this class, we take pieces we’ve written and dig even deeper to make our stories stronger. Unpacking mentor texts, we discuss: What “writing move” did the author do? Why did the author do it? Where can I try it in my writing? Then we explore revision strategies, focusing on strong leads, dialogue, internal thoughts, showing vs. telling, sentence structure, punctuation, and satisfying endings. We also learn to give constructive feedback to help us improve. Join us as we dive deep to find the hidden treasures that make our stories shine!
Please note: This class is taught through Zoom video conferencing. Your instructor will email a link before the first class. If you have any questions about how to use Zoom, please email us at email@example.com.
