The goal of our in-school and after-school workshops is to make writing joyful!
Our instructors are passionate about writing and are excited to share their enthusiasm and talents with your students. We inspire and support students by providing an environment where they can experience writing as personal, quirky, and playful, infused with choice and a spirit of adventure.
Using mentor texts and prompts, we generate writing and then give students time to develop their ideas, encouraging the use of sensory details and imagery. We also leave time for sharing and model how to give and accept constructive feedback.
Our workshops spark young writers’ creativity, engage their imaginations, and help them discover their voice and individual style.
Workshops can be tailored to complement your curricula or you can choose from the following menu:

Learn to write fiction that sounds real by taking a thread of truth and spinning it into something more. Exaggeration is encouraged!
