Description
what authors need to know to get published in 2023: a webinar
How to navigate the current publishing landscape.
In this 90-minute webinar, publisher and publishing industry veteran Brooke Warner walks you through the current publishing landscape to equip you with what you need and want to know about the options, opportunities, and landmines that are out there. This is not your typical Paths to Publishing class, but rather a nuanced look at the various business models. Warner provides her honest take on what expectations authors can have when it comes to publishing success, and also what authors need to know if they have their hearts set on traditional publishing. Bring your ambitions and fears, and all your questions, too, and let Brooke take you on a journey through modern publishing. There’s room for us all.

Our organization was founded to help amplify the voices of those who are often not heard—including Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), LGBTQIA+ individuals, and other historically marginalized groups. We have witnessed how writing and sharing stories has the power to effect change by generating greater love, compassion, and empathy in the listener. In all of our programs, we provide an inclusive, supportive, and welcoming environment. We do not tolerate writing that perpetuates harmful stereotypes or fuels hate. Failure to align with our philosophy can result in your removal from class.
